It was the middle of January, and it was snowing. Jordan and Timothy now went to different schools, but they always hung out in the park after they were released from middle school. Jordan jogged up to Timothy, who was kicking clods of snow at
a fence.
"Hi Timothy, watcha doing? She asked.
Timothy glanced at her, then stared at the ground.
"Nuthen.." he mumbled and kicked a snow lump so hard it burst.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
Timothy's eyes welled up with tears.
"Have the kids been teasing you again?"
Timothy let out a sob. "Just because I'm short they all tease me! It isn't fair!" he wailed.
Jordan, who always stuck up for her friends, was mad.
"Timothy, I think those bullies need pay back!"
Timothy sadly stared at the fence. "Yea, but nobody would ever stand up to them at my school, they're so mean and scary."
Jordan grinned impishly "Well, that's gonna change tonight!" She laughed and started whispering her plans in his ear.
At about three in the morning, two black clothed figures with black masks ran towards an old, rundown trailer. They both
had slightly bulky backpacks on and were running very quickly towards the house. One opened a window and hoisted the other
one through it, then followed. They landed in a small, rank room. There were three boys sleeping on the floor in sleeping
bags, and a empty snake cage in the corner. One of the people pulled off its mask. Jordan dropped it on the floor and helped
Timothy remove his. When they finally removed it, Jordan pulled out a spray can from her backpack.
"What does it do?" Timothy asked.
Jordan snickered and replied "It makes them shrink four feet!"
Timothy's eyes widened and grabbed a can. "Ah the miracles of science!" Then he opened the can, breaking the plastic seal covered with the RobotsRule! logo that covered it, and began spraying the bullies. They both stood back and watched in awe as the chemicals took effect on the boys.
The next day Timothy didn't have school, but Jordan did. He waited outside the school in the field for 3:00, so they
could go to the comic store. It was almost recess when he heard a rustling noise coming from the snow covered bushes. Not
having anything else to do, he went to investigate. What he saw shocked him. It was three little elves!
"Hi little guys!" He said cheerfully. The elves glared at him.
"Dis be the dude?" One asked.
The one in the middle, who was slightly taller than
the rest nodded.
"Lets get him!" The other one screached.
They all lunged on him.
"Agh! Attack of the munchkins!!" Timothy screamed.
"Help me!"
The little elves clawed and bit at Timothy until he passed out in fear.
"Now what?" One asked. The boss shouted,
"Bury him in the snow!!"
The smallest one cheered "Lets kill him!"
They rolled him over to a large snowbank and buried him under it.
They were proudly standing back to admire their handy-work when they heard a rumbling noise coming from the school.
"Guys
It's recess for the seventh grade! Run!" One yelled.
A mob of seventh graders poured out of the school doors and ran into the field. The most noticeable group consisted of
six kids, all dressed warmly in coats, hats and gloves. One was wearing a hat with a fish sticking through it. Jordan was
part of that group. They were notorious for being loud, weird and quite smart. Maddy, another one of the kids in the group,
pointed at a large mound of snow.
"Hey guys, look!" She said, pointing at it. They skipped up to the snow mound and stared at it. Ben kicked it. Jordan stared to dig away at the snow, wondering if there was any buried treasure. She unearthed a shoe.
"Oh my god, I know this shoe!" She gasped and stood up. "It's TIMOTHY" She dropped to her knees and wept uncontrollably.
Michael, the fish hat boy, approached Jordan
"Who the heck is Timothy?" he asked. Jordan didn’t answer, she was crying
too hard.
Phillip squinted at her for a while, shook his head, and informed Mick "Don’t try to understand Jordan. You’ll
just get a headache."
Maddy placed her hand on Jordan’s shoulder, "Jordan, are you OK? Who is that?"
Jordan turned
around to face her and sobbed "It’s TIMOTHY!"
Maddy cocked her head to the side and stared at the snow. ‘It just
looks like snow to me... with a shoe."
Jordan quickly stood up and gently placed her hand on the snow. "It doesn’t matter,
he’s gone on to a better place."
All five stood next to Jordan, honoring a boy they never knew.
But, it was recess,
and thirteen year olds can’t stand still for long, so Mick slapped Jordan on her head and screamed "You’re it
No TAGBACKS!" And ran away.
Jordan took her last look at the snow pile, then chased after Maddy, trying to tag her.
